The road to Muktinath is half highway, half off-road. The initial section (Pokhara to Beni, ~3 hours) is relatively smooth on a paved highway. Past Beni, the road is a small, winding mountain road with gravel, dirt, and occasional potholes.
Our 4×4 Jeep is built for these conditions, but expect a bumpy ride for most of the final 70–80 km.
The Jeep will cross shallow streams or drive around landslides and debris in certain sections – all part of the adventure.
