A private 4×4 Jeep covers the 11–12 km stretch of road from Lakeside Pokhara (820 m) to Sarangkot, climbing some 780 m. The drive is approximately 30–60 minutes (approximately 1 hour).
Sarangkot is renowned globally for its Himalayan panoramic vistas and sunrises, such as Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri range vistas. It is also a paragliding takeoff area, drawing many early birds who desire the sunrise glow on the mountains.

Seasonal: Autumn and spring are dry and clear. Monsoon rains (Jun–Aug) leave the road slippery and the sights hazy. Winter mornings are cool but generally clear – dress warm at sunrise.
